The app said RC FW should be upgraded, so I did and now there is ver. 1.9.3 and no connection to the quadrocopter (DJI Phantom 3 Advanced). When I pressed C1, shutter and power buttons, RC starts and there is FW ver. 1.2.0.12. The app says FW should be upgraded - it downloads ver. 1.7.8 and says upgrade failed, current ver. is 1.7.8.
A red light flashes on the gimbal after it is turned on. I can not get it solid green anymore. When trying to install the original firmware 1.11 that installs as well. But now no matter which I install, ever since attempting this, my vision is completely lost as well as most communication between the rc and phantom 3 pro.
So this seems to be the solution with new sd cards create 2 new folders within the SD called DCIM and inside that 100 MEDIA. If that still dose not work then try copying an old video previously captured but the P3S then put the sd card in the drone. Hope this helps anyone in future with this problem.

Using the magnifying glass search for âmtpâ then âSelect USB Configurationâ. From the menu select MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) Should work OK nowâŚ.
